Training Terms & Conditions

THE DHY METHOD

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your purchase of and participation in The DHY Method facilitator training and any associated mentorship offering (collectively, the “Program”), provided by Alissa Seymoure / Deep House Yoga (“DHY,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By purchasing the Program, submitting payment, or selecting the checkbox indicating that you agree to these Terms, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following.

1. THE PROGRAM
The DHY Method is an educational facilitator training focused on experience design, music curation, movement, yoga, ecstatic and somatic facilitation, meditation, and related concepts and practices developed through Deep House Yoga.
Standard enrollment includes six live online training modules, together with any materials, recordings, or resources specifically identified as included on the enrollment page.

Unless expressly included in your selected enrollment option, DHY is not obligated to provide additional private coaching, business consulting, event production, event staffing, marketing, licensing, employment opportunities, continuing education, technical support, or services beyond the six live modules.

Any additional resources, community access, recordings, feedback, or support provided outside those six modules are supplemental benefits and do not create an ongoing obligation for DHY to provide such services.

Participants enrolled in a separately advertised mentorship package will receive the additional services specifically identified as part of that package.

2. PAYMENT
You agree to pay the full price displayed at checkout for the enrollment option you select.

If you select a payment plan, you are committing to the full purchase price of the Program, not purchasing individual sessions on a month-to-month basis.

Your remaining installments will continue to be due according to the payment schedule presented at checkout even if you stop participating, do not attend live sessions, or otherwise choose not to complete the Program.

You authorize us and our payment processor to charge the payment method provided according to your selected payment schedule.
If a scheduled payment fails, access to the Program, recordings, community, certification process, mentorship, or other Program materials may be suspended until your account is brought current.

3. ALL SALES ARE FINAL
Because enrollment reserves a limited place in the Program and participants receive access to proprietary educational materials and intellectual property, all purchases are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law.

This policy applies to both pay-in-full purchases and payment plans.

Failure to attend live sessions, scheduling conflicts, changes in personal circumstances, failure to complete the Program, or a decision to discontinue participation do not relieve you of your payment obligations.

4. LIVE SESSIONS & RECORDINGS
Live attendance is encouraged, but recordings may be provided for designated sessions when stated as part of the Program.
We do not guarantee that every live interaction, discussion, practicum, breakout session, or other component will be recorded.
Program recordings and materials are provided solely for the personal educational use of the enrolled participant and may not be copied, distributed, published, sold, shared, uploaded, or made available to another person.

5. CERTIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS TO TEACH
Completion of The DHY Method does not automatically guarantee certification.

To receive DHY Method Facilitator Certification, participants may be required to complete designated training sessions, coursework, practicum requirements, assignments, assessments, or other requirements communicated during the Program.

We reserve the right to withhold certification when a participant has not completed the stated requirements.

The DHY Method training is not a 200-hour yoga teacher training and does not qualify or certify a participant as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT).
To independently teach or lead the yoga portion of The DHY Method in person, a facilitator must have separately completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training and maintain any credentials, insurance, licenses, permits, or qualifications required for their practice and jurisdiction.
Where applicable to the participant's intended teaching arrangement, the participant must hold a current 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) credential through Yoga Alliance, or another qualification expressly approved by DHY in writing.

A graduate who does not meet this requirement may not represent their DHY Method certification as authorization or qualification to independently teach yoga.

Participants are solely responsible for determining and maintaining the professional credentials, insurance, permits, licenses, venue requirements, music licenses, and other legal or professional requirements applicable to any event, class, or business they independently operate.

6. DEEP HOUSE YOGA NAME & BRAND
Completion of The DHY Method does not automatically grant you permission to operate under, advertise with, or commercially use the names Deep House Yoga, DHY, DHY AUX, The DHY Method, or any associated logos, trademarks, event names, visual identity, or branded materials.
Graduates may describe themselves using certification language specifically authorized by DHY, such as “DHY Method Certified Facilitator,” subject to any branding guidelines provided.

Hosting or advertising an event as an official Deep House Yoga or DHY-branded experience requires separate written authorization and, where applicable, a separate membership, licensing, or partnership agreement.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Program and its materials contain proprietary intellectual property belonging to DHY and/or Alissa Seymoure.

This includes, without limitation, the DHY Method framework; Presence, Feeling, Expression, Release and Integration framework as presented within the Program; curriculum; training materials; manuals; worksheets; presentations; videos; recordings; scripts; teaching language; experience-design systems; branding; graphics; and other original Program materials.

Your enrollment gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use Program materials for your own education and permitted facilitation practices.

You may not reproduce, sell, sublicense, teach, distribute, publish, upload, create a competing training from, or otherwise commercially exploit the Program or its proprietary materials without prior written permission.

Nothing in these Terms prevents you from using your own skills, professional experience, generally known yoga or movement practices, or independently developed ideas.

8. ACCOUNT & MATERIAL SHARING
Your enrollment is for one individual only unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.

You may not share login information, Zoom links, recordings, course materials, downloads, or other Program access with another person.
Unauthorized sharing may result in immediate termination of Program access without refund.

9. MENTORSHIP
If you purchase The DHY Method + Mentorship, your enrollment includes the mentorship services specifically described on the enrollment page at the time of purchase.

Mentorship sessions must be scheduled and used within any timeframe communicated with the Program unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Mentorship provides education, creative guidance, and strategic feedback. It does not guarantee business results, event attendance, revenue, sponsorships, employment, partnerships, or any particular professional outcome.

10. ASSUMPTION OF RISK & RELEASE OF LIABILITY
You understand that the Program may involve yoga, dance, somatic movement, meditation, breathwork, physical activity, emotional exploration, and other experiential practices.

Participation in all activities is voluntary and undertaken at your own risk. You are solely responsible for determining whether you are physically, mentally, and professionally able to participate in any Program activity and for modifying or discontinuing participation when appropriate.
You understand that physical and experiential practices may involve risks, including but not limited to physical injury, aggravation of existing conditions, emotional discomfort, falls, strains, and other foreseeable or unforeseeable consequences.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you knowingly and voluntarily assume the risks associated with your participation in the Program and release, waive, and discharge Alissa Seymoure, Deep House Yoga, and their instructors, contractors, representatives, affiliates, and agents from claims and liabilities arising out of or related to your voluntary participation in Program activities, except to the extent such liability cannot legally be waived or limited.

The Program is educational in nature. Nothing provided through the Program constitutes medical care, physical therapy, psychotherapy, mental-health treatment, legal advice, financial advice, or other licensed professional services.

You are responsible for seeking appropriate professional guidance when necessary.

11. PARTICIPANT'S OWN EVENTS & PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY
Any event, class, workshop, business, or service you create, produce, teach, or facilitate after or during the Program is your independent undertaking and your responsibility unless DHY has expressly agreed otherwise in a separate written contract.

DHY and Alissa Seymoure are not the producer, employer, operator, supervisor, partner, or insurer of independently operated events simply because the organizer completed The DHY Method training.

You are solely responsible for the safety and management of your participants; venue selection; staffing; insurance; contracts; music licensing; permits; legal compliance; emergency procedures; accessibility; taxes; marketing claims; professional credentials; and all other requirements associated with your independent activities.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree that DHY and Alissa Seymoure will not be responsible or liable for injuries, losses, claims, disputes, damages, expenses, business losses, participant incidents, regulatory issues, or other consequences arising from events, classes, businesses, or services that you independently create, teach, facilitate, or operate.

Nothing in your enrollment creates an employment relationship, partnership, joint venture, agency relationship, franchise, or other business relationship between you and DHY.

12. PARTICIPANT CONDUCT
We are committed to creating a respectful learning environment.

We reserve the right to remove a participant for harassment, threatening or discriminatory behavior, intentional disruption, unauthorized recording or distribution of Program materials, infringement of intellectual property, or other serious violations of these Terms.

If access is terminated because of a material violation of these Terms, no refund will be provided except where required by law.

13. PHOTOGRAPHY, RECORDING & COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION
Live Program sessions may be recorded for educational and replay purposes.
By participating in a recorded session, your name, voice, image, or contributions may appear in recordings made available to other members of your cohort.

Any separate use of a participant's identifiable image, voice, testimonial, or likeness for public advertising or promotional purposes will be subject to any additional consent required by applicable law.

14. TECHNOLOGY
You are responsible for having adequate internet access and compatible technology to participate in the Program.
We are not responsible for interruptions caused by a participant's internet connection, equipment, software, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

15. PROGRAM CHANGES
We may make reasonable changes to instructors, curriculum sequencing, technology platforms, session format, or scheduling when necessary.
If circumstances outside our reasonable control require a live session to be rescheduled, we will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative date, recording, or comparable learning opportunity.

16. NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS
The Program provides education, tools, frameworks, and guidance. Individual results vary.
We do not guarantee income, employment, business growth, event attendance, social-media growth, partnerships, professional opportunities, certification, or any other particular outcome from participating in the Program.

17. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Alissa Seymoure, Deep House Yoga, and their instructors, contractors, representatives, affiliates, and agents shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to the Program, participation in Program activities, or a participant's subsequent use of information learned through the Program.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

18. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any provision of these Terms found to be unenforceable will be limited or modified only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

19. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, together with the applicable enrollment page and any separate written agreement entered into between you and DHY, constitute the agreement concerning your Program enrollment.
Any separate licensing or brand-use agreement is independent of Program enrollment and may contain additional terms.

BY COMPLETING YOUR PURCHASE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND AGREE TO THESE TERMS & CONDITIONS, INCLUDING THE ALL-SALES-FINAL POLICY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY, PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS, AND, IF APPLICABLE, YOUR OBLIGATION TO COMPLETE ALL PAYMENTS UNDER YOUR SELECTED PAYMENT PLAN.
